Membership

Membership is selected, not purchased.

Foundoors is built around contribution, not status. What you've built gets our attention. How you show up determines whether you belong.

Four Dimensions

What we look for.

Scale

Has this person built or led something meaningful? Typically a founder, owner or CEO of an active company with real revenue, funding or a significant exit behind them.

Sophistication

Are they navigating decisions around leadership, capital, expansion, governance, succession or organizational complexity — the kind that don't have obvious answers?

Contribution

Would seven other strong founders benefit from having this person in their Conclave? Membership is evaluated as much by what someone brings as by what they've built.

Character

Integrity, discretion, curiosity and a willingness to listen. Low ego, high ambition. The room only works if everyone in it can be trusted.

Baseline

Scale gets our attention. Character and contribution determine fit.

Applicants are typically a founder, owner or CEO of an active company, meeting at least one of the following:

€1M+ in annual company revenue

€1M+ in external funding raised

A meaningful previous exit

Substantial family-business leadership

An exceptional founder trajectory, evaluated individually

Process

How membership happens.

  1. Apply or be nominated

Every application is reviewed personally — there is no automated approval.

  2. Initial review

We look at scale, sophistication and the substance of your answers.

  3. Membership conversation

A private conversation, not an interview, to understand fit on both sides.

  4. Reference review, where appropriate

For some applicants, a discreet reference conversation.

  5. Fit assessment

We weigh what the Conclave and Foundoors need alongside what the applicant is looking for.

  6. Conclave matching

Placement into a circle matched by scale, experience and perspective.

  7. Invitation

Meeting the criteria does not guarantee admission. We invite when there is a genuine fit.

Not for Everyone

This may not be the right room if you are mainly looking for:

New customers or investor access

A place to sell services to members

Status without participation

Transactional networking

An audience rather than a relationship

A company you don't yet operate day to day

This isn't about superiority — it's about the standards that make the room worth being in.

Some rooms you can't network your way into.
